What are Alumni Regions?
The Alumni Association has defined over 75 regions throughout the US to allow better communication and management of our over 100,000 alumni. The maps below will help you understand these regions.
How are regions defined?
Most region borders are defined by roughly 60 minute drivetimes from the city center, though in some cases like Florida and Metro NY area we divided heavily populated areas into smaller functional regions. Multiple of these smaller regions might be selected and combined in the heavily populated areas to build the best possible population for a given event or report.
How are cities selected to be defined as a region?
All alumni were plotted on the map based on their good, preferred (usually home) address and any city with at least 100 alumni in a 60 minute drivetime was defined as a region. To put it simply, if it isn't defined as a region, there are less than 100 alumni in the area.
